The 4-hour drive to Orlando was a little bit difficult, because of only 2 hours of sleep and for the fact that you could only see 40 feet in front of you with the pouring rain. The con was crazy fun. On Friday, I was L from Death Note. At night, my anime club friends were having a party in their room. I swear, we had the loudest, most packed room in the whole hotel. There were probably 30 or more people inside. A friend of mine, Ivan, mixed 6-7 gallons of different drinks XD. Someone told me a funny thing that happened earlier in another room: There was this guy that was taking a shower. His friend comes in the room, and opens the shower door. The shower dude freaks out and tries to push the guy out of the shower room, making him land on the toilet, breaking it in half with water guzzling out of the pipes.
On Saturday, I was cosplaying a 2-hour-made Kagura from Speed Grapher. I went to see the cosplay contest, which was so-so. After, I went to eat at a cool Japanese restaurant. Then, my friend invited me to a room where someone he knows was hosting a Gundamn podcast: JaCon Edition, that talked mainly about all of the gundam series and a review of the Star Trek movie (which I loved, despite being a noob in the Trekkie area). Then, there was an ok rave, though it got shut down in the middle because a couple of idiots were spraying pepper spray at many people. There, I lost my cell phone, but someone found it and returned it to me. This is the 4th time I lose a cell phone, but no one ever returned it to me before this time. There are some nice people at cons!
Sunday, I chose to not wear any costumes, though I had Tamaki from Ouran with me. There wasn't much to do, considering I slept through a bunch of events. Waking up at 2 pm, I went to Chili's with the people I met the night (or morning) before. After that, the fun stuff went downhill. Everyone started packing up and leaving the con in the evening, so we just chilled here and there. The closing ceremony was not worth much. It even ended early because everyone just left the Main Events room lol. We decided to leave the next day, though, since it was the Memorial Day.
Monday afternoon, we went with the Chili's crowd to IHOP, and from there, we took off to Miami on a 3.5-hour drive. Arriving in Ft Lauderdale, we decided to grab something to eat, and it turned out to be the Vietnamese Pho noodles. Finally, we went to karaoke for 3 whole hours to conclude the trip.
I'll most likely post a vid of the con sometime in the future, so watch out
Now I'm getting ready for the FSC - I'm excited but a little nervous... I didn't get to finish Lili before JaCon (while staying generally sane). A little disappointing, though JaCon isn't the biggest anime con in Florida (Metro is, as it is my favorite too
Well, I'm off to work on Lili!
Peace out~!
